The work of the Choir, which began in 1945 came to an end at Christmas 2003 with a concert of praise to a packed Westminster Central Hall. The London Emmanuel Choir is grateful to all those who have supported it in so many ways over the 58 years it has ministered and proclaimed the gospel message in word and song.

Bob Eagle who was the accompanist of the London Emmanuel Choir now presents a Songs of Praise radio programme on Portsmouth Hospital QA Radio which can be heard online at 10 am on Sundays repeated at 10 pm on Mondays. The LEC is the resident choir. Bob plays many of the choir's recordings as well as recordings of the massed choir festivals held under the auspices of the LEC at the Royal Albert Hall together with songs from guest choirs and soloists.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND IN LOVING MEMORY OF

MURIEL SHEPHERD

There was a service of celebration and remembrance for the life of Muriel Shepherd on Saturday 29 September 2007 at 2.30pm at Westminster Chapel, Buckingham Gate, London. The service was a fitting tribute to the life and work of Mrs Shepherd. Many former members of the London Emmanuel Choir came together to sing songs from the choir's repertoire, there were moving tributes and the whole afternoon was in celebration style: we feel sure she would have approved.
